Yesterday WAS better.
I completed my very last presentation in my 9 AM class and will say...it could have been the first time I felt 100% comfy in front of my peers. When that was over, I strolled home and spent a few off-task hours doing...what was I doing?
A few classes and several hours later as Lauren and I sat studying in the Union for our "capstone" final (probably the most important final we'll take), I received and email basically saying:
WELCOME TO NEW YORK, YOU DID IT!
Talk about a distraction. I probably could have done better on the exam if I shark was biting my arm off. I probably could have focused more with Brad Pitt sitting next to me. I got the internship with Development Counsellors International, a place that has already changed my life. Sounds cheesy, but I mean it! If I had not found DCI last year, I probably would have STILL been fighting back tears in finance classes and coming to terms with the idea that I would never actually 1)graduate from college or 2)find a job in finance land.
So, I did it. I achieved a very big goal/dream that I've been thinking about for a loooooooooooooooong time now and can't WAIT for what comes next.
This is going to be one good blog. Just sayin.

Roll On
Today wasn't anywhere near as magical as yesterday.
I woke up at 6:47 to babysit at 6:30. I ate a healthy breakfast at Braums with the money I'm saving to move to New York City. I left for Starbucks at 10:30 to start studying at 9 and studied for none of my finals which start tomorrow, my last day of school.
My mom finally called me and told me she will probably be giving my beloved loved lovely beautiful favorite best friend handsome nice cuddly smart cat away. This is not okay at all, but how do I convey this to my mom who blots cat pee from our carpet on an hourly basis. Huey misses me so he pees, that's the story. I cried for an hour after that conversation.
So I came home to a thankfully empty and messy house and went immediately to the freezer for some of my roommates ice cream, red velvet ice cream. I scooped it into the mug. As I placed the ice cream back in the freezer, the mug (not mine) shattered across the floor. Believe it or not, the red velvet was salvageable on a large chunk of ceramic mug, so I scooped it right into a non-broken one.
Then I swallowed a tiny piece of shattered mug.
Then I cried again.
Then I decided to start a new blog.
Tomorrow will undoubtedly be better. We all have bad days. Besides, tomorrow is my last day of real school FOREVER.
So we'll leave on a glad note :)
